What I'm Learning

Have you ever heard any of Laura Story's songs? I got her CD a year or two ago, and I loved it so much that I got the songbook too! Currently, I'm learning to play her song "Grace" on the piano (and I like singing it too =D). I was gripped by this song the moment I heard it! It's one of those songs I can sing and play with all my heart and soul.

God is beginning to teach me more about His grace. Yes, I know it's a free gift, and I know I need it everyday - but how often do I take it for granted? Each night, I can kneel down and ask God to forgive me of all my sin and mistakes, but I tend to forget how much God HATES my sin. Do I take His forgiveness lightly? Every sin that I commit is what nailed Jesus to the cross. Every selfish action is what killed my Savior.

But. God. Is. Gracious.

I don't want God's grace and forgiveness to be taken for granted in my life! And that's what God is teaching me. I'm learning "Grace" and grace.

  2. Morgan,

Don't worry about it! I've been busy too, so I haven't been commenting quite as much either. =)

  3. Oh, I love that song, Chloe! That is beautiful!

And you're so right - God's forgiveness isn't something to be taken lightly, which is why we must be consistently preaching ourselves the Gospel - reminding ourselves of the seriousness of our sin, and thanking Him for his amazing grace daily!

    How awesome is our God.

  4. I think we all learn something new each day, no matter how far along in our walk with the Lord we are, he teaches us. I just learned a lesson this morning. We do sometimes seam to forget and maybe wonder if we do take things for granted. Love the site, all the reading, and the picture of that really bad , extra crispy waffle. Eww.. GBU

  5. Thnx! It took some time doing the verse, but I enjoyed it, and it was well worth it! I like the new look too! That's kinda obvious though, because if I didn't, it wouldn't be there, lol. I'm actually working on a post about LIFE right now. Something I haven't done for a while. =D
