We are free. But for 27 million people in the world, freedom is not a reality. Slavery exists today - even more-so than any other time in history. As we remeber our freedom today, let us not forget those who are enslaved. We must continue to fight for freedom.

This crucial bill will renew the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, which established the State Department Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, authorized the annual Trafficking in Persons report, and established a global minimum standard for confronting trafficking and slavery.
