We are privileged to live in an area where a local church decorates - and I mean DECORATES - their property with TONS of Christmas lights every year! And the best part is, it's free! 
They put up an estimated 1.8 million lights this year!!!! 
We try to make a point to see them every year. 
We chose last night because it was incredibly nice - for a December night!
Isn't my brother so tall? :D Most people probably wouldn't guess that I'm 15 months older than him! It's even harder to believe that I was actually taller than him once!!! He likes to tease me about that now! :) 
Thanks to my brothers, Aaron and Austin, for all the pictures and videos! I happened to not bring my camera! :) 
Austin took these pictures. If you've ever tried it, you'll know that taking pictures of Christmas lights is really hard! So on some of them, he turned his camera around - while he took the picture. He said it makes them so messed up, they look good! I think it's pretty cool myself! 
Sorry about the sound in this video! I haven't found digital cameras to have much audio quality. :)
We also made gingerbread houses the other day. We did it by "gluing" (or icing) grahm crackers together:

Those Christmas lights are amazing! We've gone to look at some like that at a church where we used to live. It's really a neat thing to see! :)
ReplyDelete...And your gingerbread houses look adorable! This year my sisters made one that was pre-packaged and came in a box... but those look like a lot more fun! (And yummier!) :D
(Oh, and two of my younger siblings are already taller than me. lol I'm only 5'1" and they are 5'4" & 5'5"! So I know how it feels! ;)

i love those lights! Is it at Rama? I need to go see those...Callie's and Sam's gingerbread houses are currently in pieces. He says that it taste great...lol! Hey, did we do okay in the skit this morning? Running up the aisle was so much fun! That is why we(Joe, Christian, Sarah, Elizabeth and I ran out after the songs were over. Lol, the bathroom downstairs under the sanctuary was overflowing with teenage girls, pulling on tunics and trying to get their headpieces to stay put! :D

ReplyDeleteThose are cute gingerbread houses, we always make the storebought kind- which can't possibly be as much fun! lol :)
I loved the blurry pictures of the lights, they were really cool, and I never thought of TRYING to make pictures blurry:)
Oh, and I wanted to tell you that I love "The Call", I have the Prince Caspian soundtrack and that is one of my favorites!!
